John Carlin was a scholarship student and after three years study, a gold medallist at the Royal Scottish Academy of Dramatic Art. There followed seasons at Glasgow Citizens and Manchester Library theatres before spending four very happy years at Birmingham Rep.


He then went to London and drifted into a career in television so now his past very frequently comes back to haunt him on Sky!


He is now happily retired and living in Stroud but he hopefully keeps alive what is left of his brain by devising and presenting one man shows for charity.
